Instant photo sharing

You shoot the photo.
The guest gets it in seconds.

The couple is on the dais. A guest steps up, poses, you shoot. By the time they've found their table, that photo is on their phone — with your name on it. No album wait, no WhatsApp group, no “photo kab milenge”.

How is that even possible?

Your camera can post its own photos. Nobody told you.

your camerawifi / hotspotfaces indexedsnapseekthe guest

01 · the trick

Your camera can send its own photos.

Most Sony and Canon bodies from the last few years have wifi built in. They can send each photo the moment you shoot it. It reaches us in seconds. We find every face in it. Now it's searchable — before you've lowered the camera.

02 · why the wifi matters

Slow wifi doesn't break. It queues.

A camera's wifi is weak. It also shares the venue router with hundreds of guest phones. Nothing fails — the photos just line up and wait. A queue at the varmala means guests get their photos at dessert. So check the upload speed before the day. We ask for 20 Mbps up.

03 · the honest part

The camera menu is the hard bit.

Server address. Port. Username. A password that changes. “Explicit TLS”. Passive mode. A certificate. All typed on a thumb-wheel, at a venue, while the baraat arrives. Get one field wrong and nothing uploads. The camera won't tell you why.

We know. Setting up FTPS is complicated — every photographer who has tried it has told us the same thing. We heard you. That is exactly why the next part exists. ↓

So we built the Relay app

Same result. None of the menu.

Put your camera and your phone on the same wifi — the venue's, if it's good. If it isn't, switch the phone to hotspot and the camera joins that instead. Either way the camera talks to the app over plain FTP: no TLS, no certificate, no passive-mode riddle. The phone carries the photos up.

  • You can see it working.
Which photo is uploading, how many are pending, how fast the internet is, how many cameras are connected.
  • Shrink before you send.
Turn compression on and a 30 MB file goes up as 10 MB. Guests can't tell. Your queue can.
  • Choose what goes out.
Switch from auto to tap-to-send when you'd rather pick the shots guests see first.
  • Pairs by QR.
Scan a code from your dashboard. The app knows which event it's feeding.

The thing on the welcome board

One QR. It should look like yours, not ours.

Every event gets a QR that opens your branded link. Print it, put it on a standee, stick it on the buffet — guests scan, selfie, done. On Pro you get the poster designer: your logo, your colours, a photo from the pre-wedding as the background, a headline in a font you chose. Print-ready.

The plain one
Every plan. Download, print, done. Works forever — even if you rename the event later.

What we ask of you

Five things before the day. Then it just works.

This is the call we have with every photographer before their first live event. None of it is hard. All of it matters. And you set the camera up once — those settings stay put, so every event after this one is just a fresh login and a new QR.

  1. 01
Ask the venue for its upload speed.
We want 20 Mbps up or better. If they can't tell you, assume no — carry your own 4G/5G router or a hotspot phone on a different network from the venue's.
  2. 02
Create the event and print the QR the day before.
Standee, table tents, whatever you like. The link never changes, so print early.
  3. 03
    Test it at home.
One shot from the camera — FTPS or Relay — and watch it appear in your dashboard. Never debug a camera menu at a venue.
  4. 04
Shoot RAW + JPEG, send only the JPEG.
Set the camera to transfer the small or medium JPEG. Your RAWs stay on the card for the album; guests get the photo now.
  5. 05
Charge the hotspot phone. Bring the power bank.
Six to eight hours of uploading is a lot of battery and a lot of data. Check the plan.

What photographers ask us on the call

Straight answers.

What is Snapseek?

Snapseek is an instant photo-sharing service for wedding and event photographers. Photos reach the cloud while the photographer is still shooting — sent straight from the camera over FTPS, through the Snapseek Relay app on an Android phone, from a desktop watch-folder, or uploaded in a browser. AI indexes every face as the photos arrive. Guests scan a QR code at the venue, take one selfie, and receive every photo they appear in, typically within 10 to 30 seconds, with no app to install and no sign-up.

How do photographers use Snapseek at an event?

The photographer creates the event and prints its QR code before the day, then connects the camera to Snapseek once — FTPS settings entered in the camera menu, or a single pairing scan in the Relay app — and shoots as usual. A photo is searchable roughly 30 to 60 seconds after the shutter. Their logo is watermarked onto every preview guests browse and share, the originals guests download stay unwatermarked, and the studio name, Instagram and contact links sit on the guest gallery.

Does the camera need its own internet?

With FTPS, yes — the camera itself joins a network that reaches the internet (venue wifi or your hotspot). With the Relay app, the camera only needs to reach your phone; the phone does the rest.

Venue wifi or my own hotspot?

Venue wifi first — ask them for the upload speed when you book. If it's good, use it. If it's weak, or nobody can tell you, switch to your own hotspot or a 4G/5G router. Guests searching for their photos use their own data either way, so a weak venue network only slows your upload, not their search.

Will it work with my camera?

Any body with built-in wifi FTP can do it. The setups we have documented end to end are the Sony A7 IV, A7C, A6700 and ZV-E1, and the Canon EOS R5, R6 Mark II and R3. Other Sony, Canon and Nikon bodies with FTP work the same way, and anything with FTP or a USB cable works through Relay — send us your exact model and firmware and we'll confirm it before you pay for anything.

Who sees the watermark, and who doesn't?

Everyone browsing or sharing from the gallery sees your mark on the preview. The original they download is untouched. Your originals are never altered.

What does the free plan actually let me test?

One real event, 2 GB, full face search, the plain QR, browser upload. Run an actual function on it. Live camera delivery and the Relay app start on Pro, so test those on a small paid month if you want to see the dais moment before committing to a year.

Next time someone asks

“Photo kab milenge?”
Abhi.

Set-up takes about five minutes. The camera menu is the only slow bit — and we have an app for that.
